Kaniehtiio and I began this project in 2022 when she asked me about making a custom wallpaper for her home that included these Indigenous medicines- she couldn't find anything available on the market that had what she was looking for. 

Onónhkwa' (pronounced oh-noon-gwa) is the Kanien'kéha (Mohawk) word for medicine.
