This print started with some drawings of flowers - and while I loved the look of the blooms and leaves on their own, I kept thinking of the human relationship with nature that runs through all my work.

The way we pipe water into our bathrooms, put fire in our living rooms, plant trees in straight lines, and trap flowers in wallpaper patterns.

And since spring is (trying to be) here we're about to start interfering with our gardens in a big way: digging, snipping, clipping, planting, trimming, weeding, cutting, watering and generally editing the wilderness to grow in rows and behave. Yes, the traditional floral needs a human element.

Fellow human, behold the luscious Snip Floral, complete with scissor-yielding hands snipping blooms!

This 4 colour wallpaper was handsilkscreened, one colour at a time, by an amazing team in a US factory that's been handprinting papers since the 1960s.
